It’s almost time to start the spring semester! We will have an introductory meeting on Monday, January 24th at 6pm down in the gym. Please bring your friends/enemies. Cal Boxing 2010 Season Recap
First off, we’d like to congratulate our Cal Boxing warriors who performed very well at Regionals and Nationals. Phil Bremner received All-American honors for his 3rd place finish at Nationals in the 139lb division. David Rosenfield also placed well at Nationals, getting 5th in the 132lb division, losing to the eventual National Champion in a hard faught bout. There were no women’s competitors at Nationals this year.
On the administrative side, Cal Boxing was a honorable mention for most improved club sport. They also took 1st place at the annual club sports dodgeball tournament beating the undefeated Tennis Club. David Rosenfield was an honorable mention for club officer of the year for his hard work serving Cal Boxing this year. Deservingly so, he received the Cal Script Society Honors for his outstanding club service, leadership, sportsmanship, and team spirit.

2010 Cal Boxing Home Bouts
Join us ringside at Cal’s HAAS PAVILION for the best in collegiate boxing as the University of California, Berkeley Boxing Team hosts the Cal Invitational on SATURDAY, MARCH 6TH. Come cheer on your fighting Cal Bears as they take on top fighters from schools across the country. From Straw-weight to Lightweight, Cruiserweight to Heavyweight – each weight division will be represented in one day of collegiate amateur boxing excellence. Come watch your Cal Boxing Team FIGHT and show us your support by being extremely loud, motivating, and rambunctious! Come prepared to show the other teams whose house they’re in! GO BEARS!
